How Do you start a new multiplayer map on minecraft?
I just got my server up and running but absolutely hate the map how do i start a new one?

MonCraft answers:
Go into the folder where your server file (minecraft.exe or minecraft.jar) is located, and find the server.properties file. Open it in Notepad, and change the level name to whatever, and it’ll generate a new map when you restart the server.
Alternatively, go into the server folder and delete the whole folder named “world”, but this will delete the previous world entirely, which isn’t very useful if you want to save the older map.
Hope this helps!

Mike asks…
how do i change my minecraft multiplayer server’s map?
well i’ve looked around the internet and i have not been able to find out how i can change my multiplayer servers map. i am the server owner and want to download maps and play them on my server with my friends. how do i do this?

MonCraft answers:
Find where you server files are located then look for the folder ‘World’.
If you want to reset the whole map, just delete everything in there.
If you want to play someone else’s paste their world files into the ‘World’ folder.

moving minecraft single player map to a multiplayer map?
i have a pretty epic single player map and i am wondering whether i can move my single player map into my multiplayer server which i use Minecraft Server to run. It says you can but i havn’t been able to figure out how yet.
BTW my server is 1.6.6 and i just want to play it with my mate, does anybody know how?

MonCraft answers:
Open your minecraft folder then go to saves and take your map folder in to the minecraft server folder or any place you put the multiplayer world map in
p.s : delete the server map folder and put your single player folder instead
enjoy minecraft
