How to Make a 1.2.x Minecraft Bukkit Server
by mastergabemod (head-admin on game.moncraft.net)
Ok, lets roll:
First, you want to download bukkit’s latest builds.
Second, Create a folder on you’re desktop, called “My Own Minecraft Server“.
Third, Open up the folder, and drag the build into it. (Make sure to delete everything on the “Craftbukkit.jar” except “Craftbukkit”)
Forth, Open up notepad and copy this code: @echo off
“%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe” -Xmx2048M -Xms1024M -Xmn256M -XX:+UseParNewGC -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:+UseFastAccessorMethods -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:UseSSE=3 -XX:ParallelGCThreads=2 -jar craftbukkit.jar nogui
pause
(paste the code into the notepad, and click ”SAVE-AS”)
(Name the notepad: “Run.bat”)
Fifth, put the RUN.bat file into the Minecraft server file you created.
(Click on it)
(Note: wait about 5 minutes for everything to process threw.)
TIP:
You can find out all help commands by typing “?” inside the console.
(Plugins):
Wanna find some good plugins to get started with your server?
No problem! Just click on the following link to view a list of plugins! http://plugins.bukkit.org/#ti=&ta=all&au=&subm=false&pno=0
(Recommended plugins for your server):
In the corner where it says “Title” type in: “Essentials”
Essentials is a group of very useful commands!
(Download): Essentials Core Download
(Download): Group Manager Download
Copy and paste the jar files into the “Plugins folder” located inside your minecraft server folder.
Note: Always /reload the server after you have installed a plugin.
You can always search up more plugins in the categories.
If you need to find out your IP, go to google, and type in: “What’s my IP”
If you ever need any help with certain plugins, you can always search up tutorials on YouTube.
